Troy Appling serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Bankers Bank in Oklahoma City, leading the bank with over 30 years of experience across lending, operations, IT and marketing. He continues the family legacy established by his father, Charles Appling, while guiding the bank’s growth and supporting its mission to help community banks succeed.

A respected leader in the banking industry, Troy serves on the board of the Oklahoma Bankers Association and has previously contributed as an instructor. He also serves on the board of the Community Bankers Association of Oklahoma, sharing his expertise through speaking engagements and industry initiatives.

Troy earned a finance degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where he was a four-year football letterman. He further advanced his professional education at the Graduate School of Banking in Colorado, graduating in 2003 and serving as class president. He later served as trustee adviser and chairman of the GSBC alumni association and continued his involvement as a member and chairman of the trustee board.

Originally from Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, Troy now lives in Edmond. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his children and grandson, traveling, hiking, playing golf and following University of Oklahoma football.
